Smashing News, Planet Hulk #1 Debuts in May

by on April 21, 2015

With all the internet murmurs and pleas for a Planet Hulk movie, it comes as little surprise that Marvel is re-launching this particular comic book series. What does come as somewhat of a surprise (thought it really shouldn’t), is just how incredibly epic the preview images and latest story line sound!

Welcome to the cheekily named Greenland (Get it? Because Hulk?), better known as the northern part of the ever unstable Battleworld. Any world over run by violent citizens is bad news, but when that community is comprised of rampaging Hulks you know things can only go from bad to worse! Enter our hero, Steve Rogers, a familiar face for fans of the Marvel universe though good ole’ Captain America has a new look. Planet Hulk’s Steve Rogers is not only a gladiator and seasoned battle veteran, he also has the most unlikely of partners: Devil Dinosaur. The pair must venture into Greenland and face off against a planet of Hulks in order to save their friend.

That’s right kids, we might get to see Captain America riding a dinosaur. Murica. Fingers crossed everyone!

Additionally, Marvel promises that Planet Hulk #1 will contain some extra backstory to help break people into this new universe.

Plus – don’t miss a special back-up story this issue from fan-favorite creators Greg Pak (Incredible Hulk, Storm) and Takeshi Miyazawa (Ms. Marvel, Runaways)! Explore the untold history of Greenland. What secrets does it hold? What caused this untold outbreak of Hulks? Those answers and more lie in the pages of PLANET HULK #1 this May!
