Resident Evil fans (including myself) can rejoice yet again this year! The Resident Evil 2 Remake WILL be happening! The last couple of weeks, CAPCOM was been releasing little teasers about RE2 being remade. Yoshiaki Hirabayashi also said that there will be an update on this title, but not for a little while due to the HD Remaster of Resident Evil 0. “You’ve been telling us for years that you want Resident Evil 2 to be remade, and we haven’t been able to make it happen…until now! We are R&D Division 1 will do our best to take on your feedback and deliver the gameplay experience you’ve been waiting for.”
After how well the Resident Evil HD Remaster was, I cannot wait to see what what CAPCOM has in store for the remake of Resident Evil 2. There is no release date or any other details regarding this game yet. Whenever the Resident Evil HD Remaster released back on January 20, it broke CAPCOM’s sales records by being the fastest digital title sold across Europe and North America. There is no way CAPCOM can screw this up, especially from how well the original Resident Evil Remaster was done, and if everything goes well with Resident Evil 2, I really hope that they start on Resident Evil 3 to complete this legendary trilogy. Not only because the game was phenomenal, but also because everyone can use another dose of some Jill Valentine and her good pal Nemesis.
I bleed Resident Evil.
