Ratchet and Clank Trailer [Paris Games Week]

Ratchet and Clank Trailer [Paris Games Week]

Ever since the PlayStation 2 I have been a huge Ratchet and Clank fan, from the game play, to the lovable yet intense story, to the character; honestly, the list can keep going.  I was slightly hesitant when Sony announced that they where not only remaking the original game but also creating a major motion picture to correspond.  My fears lie in the fact that typically movies about games are not received or handled well, and vise versa.  Furthermore, my concern is in the fact that Insomniac has just invested a great deal time into Sunset Overdrive which is an Xbox One exclusive.  This has left many to speculate on how Insomniac and Sony’s relationship is to hold up.  I am very pleased to see that everything seems to be fantastic.  Without seeing the final products of either, it is hard to say what will result. However, from the footage shown in both the movie and the game are exactly what fans want.  A few weeks ago Sony let us see a brand new trailer full of new footage on how the are implementing Dr. Nefarious into an origin story that otherwise did not have him while keeping close to the original story.  Below find the most recent movie trailer.

More concerns of mine have also been put to rest this week during Paris Games Week where PlayStation has shown off a new Ratchet and Clank game trailer.  This trailer not only looks gorgeous but is an nostalgic masterpiece. Fans of the old game can recognize locations, enemies, plot points, all while keeping the brand new story from the movie.  After everything I have seen, I can honestly say I am now more hopeful and excited than fearful and skeptical.  As a long time Ratchet and Clank fan, Spring 2016 cannot come soon enough.  Here is the Paris Games Week trailer!
