Every year, several of YouTube & Twitch’s biggest gaming stars get together and participate in something called, “The Race”. Now if you are into Call of Duty, you have heard about this, if not, listen up.
The Race is a non-stop gaming event, lasting from 12 PM PST on November 5th until 5 PM PST on November 10th, of non-stop noob fragging glory from the Treyarch Studios in California. Now why do this you ask? Well it’s all for charity. During the stream, people can donate money and at the time of writing, they gathered $25,000 in under three hours of starting, and in just over 24 hours, gathered $92,876 with every single cent up to $500,000 donated to charity. The charity of choice, is the Call of Duty Endowment, which is a charity that was created in order to help out veterans find work after coming home from deployment.
The Race is also sponsored by several large companies(other than Activision/Treyarch), such as Best Buy, Astro Gaming, Scuff and Elgato, and has become a major event in the Call of Duty world. You also get some cool stuff by donating. So head on over to the channel, and check them out! It’s for a good cause!
