Indie Games You Aren’t Playing – Valentine Games Edition

Welcome to a very special Valentine games edition of Indie Games. This time it’s all about love: the love of destroying your friends or just the love of working together that slowly descends into chaos, fighting and someone sleeping on the couch. So grab your friends and loved ones and enjoy these titles.

Starwhal Just The Tip

Windows, PS4, Xbox, WiiU, PS3

Developer: BreakFall

Ah the majestic Starwhal, once thought to be unicorns and nearly hunted to extinction for their horns. Now we have a game where we make them stab one another in the heart to achieve victory. Welcome to Starwhal folks, stab away and earn those bragging rights as you claim victory. Just be careful as you might wind up ending your relationships along the road to claim your crown.

Lovers in Dangerous SpaceTime

PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Macintosh

Developer: Asteroid Base

Spread the love throughout space with your friends or a cute AI controlled pet. The Lovers fight the unlove spreading through the universe while chaos erupts in the spaceship you and your team have to control. Players have to be gunners, navigators, control the shields and be ready to push the button to unleash the spaceship’s most powerful weapon. Relationships will be tested as you battle evil and try to stay afloat.

PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows

Developer: Ghost Town Games

A video game that is on par with the relationship ending powers of Monopoly. Up to four players must prepare, cook, dish and serve meals. Each kitchen poses it’s own challenges such as a crosswalk in the middle of the kitchen, the kitchen split between two moving trucks, and my favorite – cooking in total darkness. It’s not just the AI chaos you have to balance it will be your teamwork and of course being able to have a relationship with your friends afterwards.

There you have it folks, some games to enjoy with your Valentine both near and far. Get online, have fun, smash one another to bits so long as you all have a good laugh about it. And if you feel so inclined I accept “thank you’s” in chocolate.

When she is not trying to take over the world, Jess takes time to record video games and write articles.
