Thor Ragnarok Teaser Trailer Reactions

Thor Ragnarok Teaser Trailer Reactions

It is that time of the year again, when the summer blockbusters are right around the corner and the big fall movies are finally getting some exposure.  Marvel is at it again with a brand new teaser for one of its more anticipated releases in quite some time.  Thor Ragnarok is the third installment in the Thor movie series, and the first to kind of stand alone from the other storylines.  Here are some reactions to the Thor Ragnarok Teaser I had:

There’s a new logo! It looks pretty retro, almost like an 80’s theme.  I wonder if this has to do with the movie as it is a major overhaul from the original one. I was super excited to see that this trailer had some comedy aspects to it and it seems to be following the suit of other superhero movies recently released, mainly rated R ones like Deadpool. With all of the various space creatures and characters, this trailer had a serious Guardians of the Galaxy feeling.  Is that a good thing? I’m not sure but if it has a good amount of action and comedy, you can count me as a fan! The setup of this trailer is meant to show that this movie is supposed to be more fun.  It looks like Guardians has had a huge influence on the Marvel universe and other movies are clearly trying to emulate that spirit.

Also, the Hulk has finally been revealed as a major character for this film, which is cool because it seems to be following the Planet Hulk route. I am wondering if they will be making him intelligent/aware of his split personas, as he is in the comics.  I think they will take this route because of the way things ended in the second Avengers movie. Another character returning to the Thor series is fan favorite Loki.  Tom Hiddleson is back to play the dangerous brother of Thor, leaving me to believe he could be up to his old tricks. Newcomer, Jeff Goldblum, looks fun in this Thor Ragnarok Teaser Trailer. I wonder if he will bring his dry comedy to the role, whatever role that may be as  Grandmaster, the leader and master of the battle arena Thor and Hulk are in.  That also leads me to ask, who is the main antagonist of this film? It can’t be the Hulk, that would be pretty boring/stretched out in my opinion. It also doesn’t seem likely to be Loki or The Grandmaster, so I guess we will have to see. Either way, I loved this trailer and am officially excited to see this movie!
