Deadly Premonition: The Board Game Exceeds KickStarer Goal in Under Nine Hours

Rising Star Games has announced that it is bringing the hit video game Deadly Premonition to tabletops everywhere.

Fans are invited to journey to the town of Greenvale once again, and don the sharp suits and quick wits of police detectives in the wake of Anna Graham’s murder, at the hands of the nightmarish Raincoat Killer.

The game is based upon the offbeat characters, creepy locations and unsettling events that unfold in the 2007 cult classic video game Deadly Premonition.  The game, made for 2-4 players, is a card-based board game where you must take on the task of protecting the innocent, taking down the guilty.  You must also attempt to figure out those who try to hide who they are.  With a killer hiding among the detectives, you must identify a suspect in order to track down the villain.

The board game is a unique and original concept based upon the creator’s Samuel Elphick and Daniel Osuna Perez own vision of the game.  Play will take part in competitive battles to move towards a victory condition, while sabotaging their own party.

The Kickstarter launched on May 9th, and has already reached its goal of $50,000 reaching $89,000 in the first 24 hours.  With 29 days to go, it has already made a massive dent in the stretch goals.  Opening up additional bonus action cards, guide cards for portable play and a new Agent cards.  Let’s hope they have plenty more planned, because the tide of funds does not seem to be stopping anytime soon
