The Game Awards Date Announced During E3

The fourth annual “The Game Awards” will be held this year, December 7th, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA.  A big deal for many in the gaming industry, this is basically the “who’s who” of the video game industry, coming together for a nice dinner and the chance to celebrate greatness.  Host and organizer Geoff Keighley announced the news on Twitter yesterday and also stated that tickets are on sale now!

From time to time, we get brand new trailers and game play at these events, such as last year’s Zelda: Breath of the Wild gameplay trailer and more.   Last year, we saw games like Overwatch and Pokemon Go! take home some hardware for Game of the Year and Best Handheld, respectively.  The year we can expect some games missing from E3 this year, such as The Last of Us 2, Kingdom Hearts 3 or even Death Standing to possibly make some sort of appearance at this fun and exciting event.  Our own Albert Perkins also noted this as he was at E3 this past weekend, snapping this cool picture.

What games do you have on your list that could be bringing home some hardware? Be sure to check out more E3 and gaming news here at Mammoth Gamers!
