SEGA Launches Website For New “Valkyria” Game; Worldwide Release Planned

Sega has launched a teaser website for a new “Valkyria” title. The site is available in several languages, so hopefully this means a worldwide release for the new game. We are hopeful this new project is in the vein of Valkyria Chronicles, and its focus on strategic gameplay elements. It would be fantastic to see the series return to its strategy RPG foundation; assuming this isn’t just a mobile game. Japanese companies have a habit of hyping up mobile titles.

Please SEGA, more of this tactical gameplay!

For those who don’t know, Valkyria Chronicles was a strategy RPG originally released for the PS3, and remastered for PS4. It was definitely one of the better Japanese games from the PS3 era and is absolutely worth playing, even for beginners to the genre. This title also received two sequels on the PSP, one of which is exclusive to Japan. However, platforms for this new project are currently unannounced.

You can take a look at the website here, or using the link below. More information on this new Valkyria project is scheduled to be revealed on November 20th. Stay tuned to Mammoth Gamers to find out what Sega is cooking up!
