SEGA has officially announced Valkyria Chronicles 4 for the PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One*. Unlike Valkyria Chronicles 3, which was Japan only, this new title will be released worldwide.
There was also a trailer, which you can catch below. It shows some in game footage which looks absolutely gorgeous. You can really tell that this is being built ground up for the current generation of consoles and I can’t wait to see what gameplay looks like.
But the most important news, is that they are going back to the tactical gameplay of the main trilogy. The recent Valkyria: Azure Revolution took a more action-RPG approach, so it is fantastic to see SEGA going back to what made the franchise in the first place.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 has been given a Japanese release date of March 21, 2018 for PS4 and 2018 for Nintendo Switch. Currently, there is no news on release dates for the rest of the world.

*Xbox One version is currently confirmed for European and American regions, not Japan
