Just 24 hours after the Xbox One X released, Gamestop has nearly completely sold all of the Xbox One X’s they had in stock.
This first came from the Wall Street Journal who reported that Gamestop was running low on units but did not reveal exactly how many the retailer has sold.

Gamestop has released a statement saying that they indeed need to order in new allotments after selling out in the first day:
“Sales of the new Xbox One X have been incredible! We have sold through most of our initial allotment in just one day,” GameStop SVP of merchandising Bob Puzon said. “We are already working with Microsoft to get our hands on more of the world’s most powerful video game console!”
Gamestop’s Jimmy Thang wrote in his review that, “While the Xbox One X is an expensive box, from a hardware standpoint, you’re getting a very powerful and capable machine.”
If this is true, then this is a very positive sign for the new Xbox and could see a huge spike in demand as Gamestop is one of the most popular retailers in the country.
Just last month, Sony’s PlayStation 4 officially sold 67 million worldwide whilst Microsoft hasn’t released official sale records since 2013, when PlayStation outsold the original Xbox One.
