Dragon Ball FighterZ adds Vegito To Growing Roster

It’s official, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito is the next character to join the Dragon Ball FighterZ season pass. Vegito and Merged Zamasu will form the second set of DLC characters to join the roster. You can view the gameplay trailer for Vegito above. Bear in mind that the trailer may not work as it has been leaked earlier than scheduled. The Bandai Namco Taiwan Facebook page uploaded the trailer early and has since taken down their original post.

Vegito will be in his Super Saiyan Blue form from Dragon Ball Super. It’s appropriate considering the previous character was Merged Zamasu, one of the main villains of the show. Some of his iconic moves were displayed in the trailer, such as Spirit Sword and Final Kamehameha. The trailer also shows off his opening animation which has Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegito. There are currently no confirmed dramatic openings or finishes. However, we can expect to see them later as the other DLC characters have received them.

Vegito will be the fourth DLC character for the current season pass, which will have 8 characters in total. He will presumably come in a set of two with Merged Zamasu, as was the case with Broly and Bardock. The trailer doesn’t indicate a release date, but both characters will release at the same time.

Dragon Ball FighterZ has certainly shown a lot of love to Dragon Ball Super. The base roster has several representatives from the show: Beerus, Hit and Goku Black. The only aspect of Dragon Ball that is yet to receive some representation is Dragon Ball GT. The show may be polarising among fans, but it’s still a big part of Dragon Ball history. There are some great possible choices: Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, Omega Shenron and Super 17. It’s a shame we’ve yet to see any of these characters.
