Teasing a special announcement at Gamescom, developer Gears for Breakfast announced that their hit platformer A Hat in Time is “coming soon” to the Nintendo Switch. This is another announcement of a new game for the Switch after Diablo III announed earlier this week.
The company also announced that the PC version is getting the Seal the Deal DLC and a new split-screen co-op mode on September 13. The content will bring a new chapter on the Arctic Cruise plus a new difficulty mode, costumes, and six fresh time rifts. The DLC will cost $4.99, but owners of the base game will have 24 hours to download it for free. If you backed the game on Kickstarter you can claim the DLC for free.
The announcement video did not specify whether these updates will come bundled with the Switch version, or if the content will eventually make its way to the other consoles.
Released in October 2017 for PC, A Hat in Time is a 3D platform inspired by games like Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64. The game features an open world filled with collectibles, puzzles, and enemies to fight. A Hat in Time has since been ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
