Kingdom Hearts is Coming to Tokyo Disney

2019 is definitely the year for Kingdom Hearts fans (and, let’s be real, you all have earned it!), and what better way to celebrate than in a Kingdom Hearts themed hotel room? In March 2019, The Tokyo Disney resort, The Disney Ambassador Hotel, will have a handful of rooms based around the much beloved gaming franchise.

As if the rooms themselves weren’t exciting enough, guests will be given special keys in the shape of Sora’s very own keyblade to gain access to the rooms. Pictures from the hotel’s website show headboards, comforters, tables, lamps, and pieces of artwork all featuring characters and settings from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. Each room can comfortably house three adults (two regular beds and a trundle bed), and guests can expect to spend around 46,100 yen (£330/ $425) a night.

That being said, according to Kotaku, guests who stay in these specialty rooms will leave with a few special treats. First and foremost, the Keyblade room keys are yours to keep, including the special Disney Ambassador Hotel box they come in. The hotel will also send fans home with a set of exclusive Kingdom Hearts postcards.

The hotel will begin to take reservations for the special rooms on January 30, and reservations can currently be made until June 23, 2019. As of this writing, the exact numbers of rooms available has yet to be announced.
Can’t wait until this March for all the Kingdom Hearts goodness? Luckily, the much awaited Kingdom Hearts III will release on January 25, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and if you’re in need of a quick refresher, take a look at our recap on the sprawling storyline!
