In an interview with the Game Informer Podcast, the original voice of Solid Snake, David Hayter had a pretty blunt conversation regarding his relationship with Konami, and Kojima Productions.  Hayter indicated that prior to him not returning to Metal Gear Solid V, he was nearly ousted before.

When asked if he had played Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain yet, David Hayter replied, “No, that’ll be 60 hours of humiliation that I can’t get to.”  he also added that he hadn’t played Ground Zeroes either.

“No, that’ll be 60 hours of humiliation that I can’t get to.” – David Hayter

When asked if he would team up with Kojima again in the future, the future seemed very doubtful as well speaking with Game Informer:

“I’ve got no particular love for Kojima.” – David Hayter

As most know, Hayter was the voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss for several years before he was replaced by Kiefer Sutherland prior to the release of Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.  You can listen to the interview in its entirety right here.  For more on Konami, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear, and David Hayter, keep it locked right here.
