Just when SuperGirl was going to get her man he up and walks out on her. Well not by his choice, Myriad was activated and now all the masses except Kara are marching to Non’s tune. After stopping the containment breach Kara heads to the fortress of solitude to get some answers about Myriad. Using the AI’s logic against itself it reveals that Myriad is a mind control program which Astra was going to use to get the people of Krypton to save it however the council knew it could be used for much darker purposes like complete and total enslavement so therefore it was banished. Kara uses her call her cousin card but he is off planet of course. So she heads back to Catco to try and wake up her friends who are busy playing some sweet version of Kryptonian Candy Crush. Well everyone except Cat Grant (yeah we get it Calista! You’re IRL married to Harrison Ford! Ha ha) and well Diet Coke Lex Luthor err I mean Maxwell Lord. Kara receives the text we’ve all been waiting for; her cousin is coming to help!
We look at the sky, queue the music, queue the cheering! Watch him land in the streets and start marching with the mind controlled crowd…what?! Seems since Clark has lived on Earth since a young age his mind is more human so he’s now controlled and of course kneeling before Zod Non. Speaking of Non he’s having a bit of a crisis of conscience, he only wants to rule the world to save it. Indigo wants him to take over the whole Galaxy.
Meanwhile Hank and Alex’s fieldtrip to CADMUS has been canceled. Alex refuses to sit on the bench while Hank heads to National City to try and help. They get attacked by Indigo who takes Alex hostage and leaves Hank for dead.
Maxwell Lord of course had been planning for this situation to arise. His solution bomb the city with kryptonite dust killing Non and his crew, preventing Kara from ever setting foot inside National City for about 50 years oh and killing about 300,000 people. Yeah let’s go with this plan. Non of course can’t help but put some smart shots in to get Kara to back down. He decides to play the red shirt game and sends Winn, Jimmy and random coworker (red shirt) Karen falling to their deaths. If you’re a Star Trek fan you know who out of those three loses the game. It has the effect Non wanted to on Kara but not completely. Once over the death and the potential deaths of countless people it’s Cat Grant who comes up with the idea to wake the people of National City. Show them a symbol of hope and what better symbol than perhaps Supergirl herself?
Cat, Lord and SuperGirl head to Cat’s first television station while they are making preparations Non gives Alex a super suit and forces Kara to fight the one person she doesn’t want to fight her own sister.
So what will happen next week? Is Hank dead? Probably not, my guess is he will more than likely save Alex and when is Indigo going to betray Non? Tune in next time kids and see if my predictions come true.
