Imagine a typical day in your life: you go to work, you do all the normal things and perhaps you stay up late with your guild members doing a raid or crushing opponents in Overwatch. Suddenly your team chat starts going nuts. Everyone is telling you “Don’t Go To Sleep”. There’s the emergency broadcast on your television saying the same thing. Curious you check Twitter or even Facebook. Reports start flooding in people that went to sleep have died in their sleep. Now that would be common, but it’s happening on a mass level. It’s not just people that are dying in their sleep. It’s any creature that requires sleep (ex: birds, cats, dogs). Everything that goes to sleep that night and dies for no rhyme or reason. So you think, “ok I just won’t go to sleep and I’ll be fine”. No, you won’t your body can only go about ten days before you die from not sleeping. You face a hard choice: go to sleep and die or try to stay awake long enough for a cure.  Welcome to Day 5 Rooster Teeth’s newest series.

This series is a far step away from their usual comedic silliness and goes deep into the survival drama with the likes of The Walking Dead. Created by Josh Flanagan, Chris Demarais, and Matt Hullum this show follows a Jake (Jesse C. Boyd), a meth addict who that unknowingly survived the apocalypse. His group consists of Sam (Walker Satterwhite) a thirteen year old boy who is highly intelligent and has some of the best lines in the series. Ellis (Davi Jay) an airline pilot trying to figure out how this all started and how to stop it and Ally (Stephanie Drapeau) a radiologist who lost her patients and is trying to protect those left. Through the series you will see some Rooster Teeth Alums. The series also stars actor and alum Joel Heyman whose parts of his episode were filmed at a previous RTX.
