Earlier today Nintendo announced the stoppage of production on the Wii U this Friday November 4th. This should come as no surprise to gamers because the system has been struggling on the market since its launch day, and the surge Nintendo received after the Switch announcement.
This news comes from way of Eurogamer, where Nintendo’s production of the Wii U will stop and no new orders will go out from retailers. This shouldn’t hurt the ability for new gamers to pick up the system however, most retailers still have some on the shelves and there’s an apparent back log of systems that have already been made. Is this a surprise for you?
