The November NDP report is in. Sony’s PS4 has regained the title of hottest-selling gaming console. This comes shortly after Sony announced that the console had hit 50 million units sold.

After falling short of the Xbox for two straight months, the PlayStation 4 had a strong comeback in November. This can likely be credited to the release of the PS4 Pro at the start of the month. In addition, the Japanese giant has previously stated that this Black Friday was the most successful for them yet. Therefore, the discounts on the PS4 Slim seem to have helped launch sales even more.

Unfortunately for Microsoft, the PS4 Slim’s price is scheduled to drop to $249.99 this upcoming weekend, will stay at this price until the 24th, and include a copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

While the exact number of units sold during November is not known, we do know that as of September 30th, the console had sold 47.4 million units. With the announcement on the 6th of 50 million units, we can assume that the system sold an incredible 2.6 million globally in just 2 months.
