The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley’s annual award show celebrating the best games of the year, has come and gone. In case you missed the show and all of its surprises, we here at Mammoth Gamers have created a handy-dandy summary for you.

The Game Awards were home to a big number of announcements, release dates, and trailers:

To start off the Game Awards, a video game adaptation for the popular zombie franchise World War Z is coming next year.

Owlchemy Labs announced a new VR title, Vacation Simulator. With a quick trailer that featured some beach antics and style, the follow-up to Job Simulator is poised for a warm welcome. Vacation Simulator is coming to PlayStation VR, Oculus, and Vive.

Camp Santo, the makers of Firewatch, unveiled a trailer for its new game, In the Valley Of The Gods.

Nintendo has released a trailer for their second Breath of the Wild DLC, The Champion’s Ballad. The trailer showed off numerous details from the DLC, including the champions of 100 years ago, new shrines, and outfits. When will this DLC be available you ask? Players can download this DLC now!

Dark Souls and Bloodborne developer From Software showed off a short teaser trailer for their next title. The very brief trailer gives us very little to go on. Is it Bloodborne 2? Here’s hoping.

Fighting game franchise Soul Calibur is coming back in a big way with Soul Calibur VI in 2018. A fresh trailer showed off some classic characters and some flashy action.

Epic has revealed that their incredibly popular Battle Royale mode for Fortnite will be getting a new limited time mode. From now until December 17th, two teams of fifty people can compete to see who is superior.

THQ Nordic announced a winter survival game titled Fade To Silence.

In a short announcement, Nintendo revealed that both Bayonetta and its sequel are coming to the Nintendo Switch. The games will be releasing on February 16th, 2018, releasing in a double pack containing both games. In addition to this, Nintendo went on to announce Bayonetta 3 with a short trailer. Bayonetta 3 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch exclusively.

The creators of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Astronauts, are working on a new, grim-looking shooter. Witchfire looks promising and I’m excited to see what’s in store.

A Way Out, a new new co-op adventure, from the creators of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, will be releasing March 28th, 2018. When the game launches, players who don’t own the game will be able to download the “Friend Pass” free trial of the game, then link up with a friend who does own a copy and play the full game.

Viewers were treated to the latest taste from Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding. Words don’t do this trailer justice, just know it’s really weird and I’m excited to see more of it.

Media Molecule’s next game, Dreams, showcased a number of varied gameplay sequences involving numerous creatures running through forests and space itself. Dreams is set to be shown off more thoroughly at this year’s PlayStation Experience. Dreams is set to release 2018.

The highly anticipated desert map for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was showcased. The map is set to be available on PC servers now.

GTFO is a cooperative sci-fi horror game from the creators of Payday 2. Yes. The game is called GTFO. And it completely deserves that title. GTFO has players scavenging a complex while trying to horde off mysterious creatures.

A new trailer for Metro Exodus was showcased. The trailer was gives the third game in 4A’s post-apocalyptic series a Fall 2018 release date.

Sea of Thieves showed off a new trailer complete with a release date of March 20th, 2018.

I’m super excited for a lot of things on this list. Soul Calibur, Bayonetta, and possibly a new Bloodborne all are note worthy and had me jumping with joy. Witchfire and GTFO have me interested to see what’s to come. But until we learn more, lets try to stay optimistic and by optimistic I mean, lets hope a new Bloodborne game is coming out. until then, keep your eyes on the Mammoth Gamers for all your gaming news.
