Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World has already shipped five million copies of the game worldwide in the first three days since its release.
This proves a massive success, since Capcom was hoping Monster Hunter World would rope in Western fans.
Those five million shipped are a great start for Capcom. Since the first Monster Hunter title debut 14 years ago, the series has attracted a dedicated fan base, and overall grown into a mega-hit with cumulative sales of more than 45 million units worldwide as of January 2018.
