Soul Calibur VI’s second guest character will be 2B, from Square Enix’s action role-playing game Nier: Automata. Bandai Namco announced 2B’s guest appearance during a presentation at Paris Games Week.
The company dropped a trailer featuring 2B as she encounters Ivy in the far-off future, then facing off against various characters. 2B will come armed with her dual blades, Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty, and many of her combat skills from Nier: Automata including air combos and dodges.
Bandai Namco stated the character is “Coming Soon,” 2B will be included as part of Soul Calibur VI’s season pass, which also includes returning fighter Tira and two additional playable characters. The game’s season pass costs $29.99, and is included as part of the $89.99 deluxe edition of Soul Calibur VI.
The game’s Nier: Automata-themed DLC doesn’t end with the character. The new DLC will also include additional weapons for 2B, a secondary costume, some new stickers, costume accessories and even an entirely new stage.
Outside of this, there is no word if 2B will have her very story mode or be featured in the Create-A-Soul mode. Since Tira has her own story and her own moveset in Create-A-Soul, one can only assume that 2B will as well, but we’ll find out when 2B comes to the game.
Bandai Namco, since I know you’re reading this. I see you have this thread of adding white-haired, sword-wielding badasses to Soul Calibur VI. Might I suggest adding Dante as your next DLC character? You can even add the “Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series” sticker to the game box! It’ll be great! Make it happen!
Soul Calibur VI is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
