Respawn Entertainment has added a new weapon to Apex Legends; the Havoc Energy Rifle! Within Apex Legends’ first month, it has had several updates, mostly for improving stability and functionality. Fans can also expect more to come, as data mining has found evidence of 11 new characters coming to Apex Legends.

Along with additional content, Twitch Prime users can snag a legendary skin for the character, Pathfinder, as well as 5 of Apex Legends’ version of loot crates; Apex Packs. For users that don’t know, Apex Packs work much in the same way as those in Overwatch, offering a wide arrange of cosmetics. One major difference with Apex Legends’ system is they have removed the chances of receiving any duplicates, improving the chances greatly of receiving rare cosmetics. The rates for item drops are even listed out in the game, with Rare or better items having a 100% chance, Epic or better having 24.8%, and Legendary having 7.4%. To ensure an even fairer system, Apex Legends also notes that every 30 packs will ensure one of them has a Legendary item in them, and every 500 packs will have at least one Heirloom.

Forbes has listed out the leaked names of the 11 upcoming characters, found from users data mining the game. The names of the leaked characters are:

  • Nomad
  • Octane
  • Prophet
  • Husaria
  • Jericho
  • Rampart
  • Blackout
  • Crypto
  • Rosie
  • Skunner
  • Wattson

Out of the 11 characters, Octane and Wattson have been noted as the first two to be joining the playable characters first. In-game code has shown that Octane will be using an ability known as “Stim” which many speculate to function much like the Stim from Titanfall 2. Wattson, on the other hand, appears to be using an ability listed as “Tesla Trap” which is being speculated to function much like a shock grenade.

With Apex Legends on the rise, Respawn Entertainment is working hard to ensure more and more content is ready for their hungry and eager fans. For more news on Apex Legends, make sure you keep it locked to Mammoth Gamers.
