The Apple Event just finished, and they sure brought a lot to the table this year! From increasing their reach to people across the globe, to providing new services, to offering a healthier financial life, Apple is bringing its A game this Apple Event! Apple may not have announced any new iPhones or computers, but they sure brought a lot of new services and updates! Starting with a beautiful opening, showing their wonderful services and products, Apple came ready this year with goals and the manpower to achieve those goals!
Apple will be bringing magazines to its news service, via Apple News+. This new service will bring over 300 different magazines to its American users, as well as their Canadian users, both in English and French. England and Australian users will be receiving access to Apple News+ in Fall of 2019. Families will be able to share their subscription with their family members at no extra cost, and Apple will also ensure no use of personal data for creating recommendations. All recommendations will be done by the user’s phone, not their servers, meaning no advertisements created based on your reading habits.
With Apple Pay becoming more and more widely accepted, Apple has decided it’s time to expand on this concept. Coming Summer 2019, Apple will be launching Apple Card, their own personal credit card. This card will be focused on the idea of healthy financial understanding and will feature no fees. The data of your card will be found only on your phone, your spending habits will also only be stored on your phone, meaning no advertisements based on where you spend. Apple will also be providing what they call, Daily Cash, this unlimited perk will mean anywhere from 1% cash back when using the physical card, to 3% cash back when purchasing from Apple at their stores. All other normal purchases using Apple Card via Apple Pay will be 2% Daily Cash, which you get the same day. This Titanium card will only have your name lasered on the front, no actual card data.
During the Apple Event, they also announced that they have over 1 billion players and over 300,000 games on its App Store. Apple hopes to introduce these players to even more content. To do this, Apple is launching Apple Arcade, which will provide players with hundreds of games in an ever growing exclusive library, from many different large name developers. There will be no ads, offline playing, cloud saves across all your devices, as well as family sharing of the subscription. Apple Arcade will be available in 150+ countries.
Apple is bringing all its TV services together within its TV App. However, to go with this, Apple will also be introducing its own television subscription. This will function much like an HBO subscription, however with content focused on great storytelling. This will range from a Sesame Street show for preschoolers on computer coding, to a show starring Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell about morning show hosts. Apple is uniting with many big-name artists in hopes of creating a network of content focused on building a humankind community. This may sound like a huge plan, but possible with the right people. Who would be best for leading such a mission?
Oprah and Apple have teamed up together just to do that. They hope to bring everyone together through amazing eye-opening storytelling, via the apple products that fill billions of pockets around the world. Both Apple and Oprah have expressed great excitement to be working together, and hope to bring together humanity as one.
