It has been announced that this July, Electronic Arts will be expanding its subscription services, EA Access, to the PlayStation 4. EA Access allows subscribers to obtain early access to trials of new titles, as well as a “Vault” full of games.
According to Polygon, the Vault that is available to EA Access subscribers offers a selection of more than 50 games, including titles such as “Star Wars Battlefront 2, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Fe, The Sims 4, Battlefield 1, and EA Sports’ most recent Madden, NBA, and NHL games.”
Despite the large list of titles already available in the Vault, there is no news regarding which PS4 video games will be viable through the subscription.
Along with the Vault, EA Access allows subscribers to experience Play First Trials, where people can play up to 10 hours of new EA games that have yet to be released. This is in addition to the 10% discount available for full games, expansions, and in-game items.
The same service is available for the Xbox One; however, it has been stated that the two subscriptions are on separate accounts. Due to this, if players want EA Access on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, they will have to pay two monthly or annual fees.
This service will cost $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Due to the addition of the PlayStation 4, EA Access is available on more platforms than any other subscription service or publisher.
