Ryan Reynolds fans know he isn’t above acting the part of an internet troll, but today he may have taken it a bit too far. Early on Tuesday, May 7, Reynolds retweeted a link to the entire Detective Pikachu on Youtube.
Curiouser and curiouser, the link was originally tweeted out by an empty account under the name of Inspector Pikachu. With 166 followers, the account is less than a few weeks old and only has one tweet: the link to the entire Detective Pikachu movie. As Reynolds retweeted it to “bring attention to the matter,” fans are already speculating as to whether or not Reynolds might have created the Inspector Pikachu account himself just for the sake of the troll.
Even the Youtube channel the film is on, Inspector Pikachu once again, was created on May 2, 2019, and the full-length film is the only uploaded video. Whether or not it has any grounds, this isn’t the first film of Reynolds to be leaked on the web. The very first Deadpool film, X-men Origins: Wolverine, found its way onto the web, albeit incomplete.
Detective Pikachu is set to release on May 10, 2019, but why wait? You might even get a small surprise if you watch the leaked video! Put on your own detective hats and let us know if you think Ryan Reynolds is totally involved in the comments below!
