Today is the day Sonic fans have been waiting for, the launch of Team Sonic Racing, the newest entry in the spin-off franchise. To celebrate, Sega released a new live-action trailer showing people in a grocery store recreating a kart race while hilarity and chaos ensues.
Developed by Sumo Digital (LittleBigPlanet 3), the game features 21 tracks and a cast of characters from the Sonic franchise. Customize your karts, race as a team, and use wisps to attack opponents in hopes of coming out on top. Team Sonic Racing also features multiplayer modes and local co-op to see which of your friends is the best racer.
Team Sonic Racing is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch both physically and digitally, and PC as a Steam digital-only launch with a suggested price of $39.99.
Sonic has been in the news lately when the trailer for the live-action/CG movie launched earlier this month. While many fans aren’t too happy with the hedgehog’s design, we think the movie looks fun and can’t wait to see it.
