The sun is hot and the pools are full, which can mean only one thing: the Summer Games event in Overwatch has finally arrived! Starting Tuesday, July 16th, Overwatch fans will have until August 5, 2019, to collect all of their new skins and other goodies.
Earlier this month, Jeff Kaplan released a developer update alerting fans that the Summer Games would take place much sooner this year. And he did not disappoint. In the same developer update, Kaplan announced that the event would hold three weekly events.

The first weekly challenge will run July 16-22, and every three wins out of a total of nine victories result in one of these prizes: a shark attack spray featuring Roadhog and Junkrat, a boxing
Genji, Tjorborn, and Hanzo also have new summer-inspired skins along with a plethora of new character sprays. Skins from previous Summer Games will also be available as well as the return of Lucioball, a fast-paced soccer game that will relieve that Rocket League itch.
Excited for the weekly challenges? Loving those new summer-inspired skins? Thoughts on the new hero coming shortly? Let us know in the comments below, and keep coming back to Mammoth Gamers for all of your Overwatch news!
