The Incredibles 2 is just two months away from finally hitting theaters, meaning a lot more information and trailers will be coming out soon. That being said, a new trailer released today reuniting us with the Parr family.
This new trailer focuses on setting up the premise of the sequel, which is centered around Elastigirl and bringing back heroes to the world. While Elastigirl is out making superheroes mainstream again, Mr. Incredible will be home babysitting the kids while trying to teach baby Jack-Jack how to control his newly found powers.
According to director Brad Bird, The Incredibles 2 picks up right where the original 2004 film left off, with the introduction of the villain The Underminer and their fight with him.
In contrast to the first Incredibles film, the sequel will be showing Elastigirl undercover instead of Mr. Incredible, while he stays at home with the kids. Since these concepts are similar, I hope Pixar attempts to do something different with Elastigirl instead of play the same story with a new perspective. That being said, will the sequel share other concepts from the previous film or will it build upon this and throw the audience for a loop? Or better yet, will we see more super heroes coming out of hiding to help Elastigirl on her adventures? And will Elastigirl’s and the Incredibles’ actions lead to more movies being made? I guess we’ll have to wait until Incredibles 2 comes to theaters.
The Incredibles 2 will be released on June 15th.
