Marvel has confirmed that Avengers: Endgame will have a runtime longer than 3 hours, but it looks like that will be coming with a cost! That’s right; our worst nightmare has become a reality! Marvel has announced that Endgame will be postponed until August 22nd!
Tom Holland was nowhere to be found for comment, along with Vin Diesel or Chadwick Boseman. Many wonder why half of the cast from Avengers: Infinity War seem to have gone into hiding after the premiere of the movie, as if without a trace. When asked as to why the movie was delayed, co-director Anthony Russo stated that his brother was fine and still working on the movie. When informed that no one had asked about his brother, Anthony Russo stated that it was Thanos’ idea, not his. Joe Russo was nowhere to be found for comment, much like half the cast of Avengers: Infinity War.
Thanos’ snap seems to have costed Marvel about half of their workforce, which as a result has caused some scheduling issues over at Marvel Studios. With only half an editing team, it would appear that Avengers: Endgame will take a little longer to edit than first planned. This lack of editors also caused Avengers: Endgame to be shortened to a 3-hour movie; instead of an originally scheduled 6 hours. Nonetheless, it appears that the team over at Marvel are working hard and doing everything it takes, to make sure Avengers: Endgame finds its way to the big screen.
With fans now pulling at their hair that Endgame has been postponed, many wonder what this means for the Marvel movies that follow. Is it possible that the upcoming movies, such as Spider-Man: Far From Home, will be postponed as well? Will Todd Howard somehow sneak Skyrim into the next Avengers movie?
